Great Time Of Year For Crockpots!

This time of year, things are a bit hectic. Shopping, family gatherings and yes, football. Plus with it being cold outside, its great whether for stick-to-your-ribs food. Pot roasts, stews and the likes. In other words, time for the slow cooker. I use the Crockpot (a trademark of rival) slow cooker.

Last weekend, I took a boneless beef chuck roast, threw in some BBQ sauce, cider vinegar, dry mustard, some brown sugar and a tad of water and cooked it for 8 hours on low while watching football. Took the meat out, shredded it with two forks, put it back in the crockpot for 1/2 an hour and the served it on rolls and topped it with cole slaw. Amazingly good. The meat was so tender.
